Cookie Policy

This policy explains how soundr uses cookies and similar technologies, the categories we group them into, and how you stay in control. It complements our Privacy Policy.

Last updated · Version 1.0

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on your device, and “similar technologies” include things like local storage and pixels. We use them to keep you signed in, remember your choices, keep soundr secure, and — only with your consent — to measure usage and improve our marketing.

2. Categories we use

We group cookies into the categories below. Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the platform cannot work without them; every other category is optional and off until you opt in.

Strictly necessaryAlways on

Required for soundr to work: signing you in, keeping your session secure, remembering your cart through checkout, and protecting against fraud and abuse. These are set on a contractual/legitimate-interest basis and cannot be switched off.

  • Authentication and session cookies
  • Security, anti-fraud and rate-limiting tokens
  • Load-balancing and the record of your cookie choices

PreferencesOptional · off by default

Remember choices you make so the experience feels yours — such as your language and your discovery area (city and radius).

  • Language selection
  • Chosen location and search radius
  • Interface preferences

AnalyticsOptional · off by default

Help us understand, in aggregate, how soundr is used so we can improve discovery, performance and reliability. Only set if you allow them.

  • Aggregate page-view and feature-usage measurement
  • Performance and error monitoring

MarketingOptional · off by default

Used to measure and improve our marketing and, where you have opted in, to show you more relevant promotions for events and artists. Only set if you allow them.

  • Campaign attribution and conversion measurement
  • Audience and remarketing tags

3. Your choices

When you first visit soundr we ask for your consent to non-essential cookies. You can change your mind at any time using cookie settings, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off because they are required to run the service.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them — though some parts of soundr may not work properly if you block strictly necessary cookies.

4. Third-party cookies

Some optional cookies are set by the providers we use for analytics and marketing measurement, acting on our behalf. We describe who processes your data — including our payment provider Polar and our hosting provider Hetzner — in our Privacy Policy.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our use of cookies evolves. When we make material changes we will update the effective date above.
